The word photography literally means painting with light. Light travels at 186,000 miles a second and enters the human eye to be rendered by the best camera ever created. Just as crawling leads to walking , looking progresses to seeing. Seeing leads to feeling and we behold the wonders of our world. I have spent over fifty years learnig to see. This is alwayas an ongoing journey. When I read the words of John Muir I sense the kindrid spirit of a man who loved Gods wonderful world. John Muir almost lost his eye sight in a factory accident where he was employed. He made himself a promise saying if he got his eye sight back he would never go back . He left that job and decided to go on a 1000 mile hike. "Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul." John Muir
