This trail holds a special place in my heart becasue it has always reminded me of lifes journey. Wether in spring , fall or with snow on the ground its always a place of unending solitude. Leaving many years of a hectic work life behind , here I could walk and review lifes many past memories. Many I kept yet many more I said goodbye to here to travel on.
Here the trees and view into the forests depth provide a majestic image of fall. Yet with its power we also can sense its willing vulnerability as with each gentle breeze a lone leaf falls twirling downward to lay on the forest floor. On the 28th all these leaves weren't in full color . On the 30th they were perfect , yet the next day a storm came through for a few days and began taking them all away. So once again timing is everything.
Light travels at 186,000 miles per second and brings everything into view as it enters the best camera , the human eye. I have often marvelled as it filters down through the forest to adorns certain areas. Here it dwells for the time being on these leaves and creates various shadows as we peer deeper into the woods .
